- This season we will have six races
with the top five finishes for both team and individuals counting towards
the final standings. If a race is canceled then all five races will count
for both team and individual.
4) Race Division Discussion
- JV/Junior Division
- The number of teams has declined
in recent years
- Once again there will be no
Junior Division
- Is it appropriate for schools
to have three varsity teams?
- Skiers should be challenged
at the appropriate level
- Coaches should put skiers
at the appropriate level and not just fill the varsity ranks
- We will keep the existing
rules in place this year
5) Coaches Duties
- All coaches need to pitch in even
if they are not assigned a specific duty
- Greg Leeds will produce the Duty
Assignments for 2009 and is primarily in charge of on-hill operations
- Reminder that course officials
need to be available after the race for the protest period
- Can we make use of Independent
Racer parents?
6) Other Items
- Current Trophies are fine
- Amend by-laws with regards to
gatekeeping
- For the JV Division the top 4
finishers will score for the team (a change from 5)
7) Adjourned 7:55 PM
